Saying Good-Bye

Think about this:

My Grandmother passed away this past week.  She was 94 years old.  She was married to my Grandfather for 60 years.  She leaves behind 37 GREAT Grandchildren,  19 GRANDchildren and 6 Children.  She has finally finished the race and has been reunited with our loved ones that have gone before us.  She is now rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Mighty Creator.  As hard as it is to imagine that she is no longer with us, her love and memories will live within us for all the days of our lives.  She was an amazing women of God and I hope that I am able to be half the women of faith that she was.

Mason and I got here the night  before she passed.  We were able to go say our good-byes and tell her once more how much we loved her.  Mason was so sweet and as we were leaving he kissed her cheek and said "Go Night-Night Great Grandma.  It's OK just go night-night,  I Love you!"  With that she gave us a smile and her body relaxed.  Later that night my mom and some of her siblings went back to her bedside to be with her while she passed.  According to my mom it was one of the most peaceful/amazing experiences to be apart of.   It is never easy to lose a loved one but we all live in the knowledge that we will be together again.

The Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren (almost all of us)
 The siblings
After a change of plans with Uncle Jonathan's flight we went to Malley's and enjoyed some ice cream and a carousel ride.
Mason even "drank" the hot fudge like Grandma always did!
Good-bye for now Grandma.  We will be seeing you when it is our time to leave this earthly dwelling.  Until then we will keep you in our hearts.  We can not wait to dance around the table in our Fathers house!
